Deep red flower spotted on a Sunday morning walk! The Spring was quite wet so the first batch of roses didn't fair well. But July was hot and mostly dry so the second wave is much happier!

Red Hot Pokers do grow big around Denver. This slope is a perfect place for them! I am noticing that there is less variety of Day Lilies in Denver, so when I saw this beauty I had to stop and take a picture
